What Is Krillion?

Krillion is an open-answer trivia game on the original Krillion website. Its Daily Dive asks you to name something that fits each prompt. More unusual accepted answers can earn more points, but the exact wording of the question decides what counts.

How the Daily Dive Works

The official site currently presents one shared Daily Dive each day. You work through the same sequence other players see and enter a response before each round's clock runs out.

How Many Questions Are in Krillion?

The Daily Dive has 7 prompts. A themed pack or Unlimited run may follow a different format, so check the original mode before you begin.

How Long Do You Get Per Question?

The original game currently states 25 seconds per prompt. Because that window is brief, read the whole prompt before deciding which remembered fact to enter.

How Krillion Answers Are Scored

Accepted answers are assigned to rarity tiers. The point value of that tier contributes to your total, and each point represents 10 meters of dive depth. See the scoring guide for the current configured values.

Why Rare Answers Matter

An obvious valid answer can keep your run moving. A more distinctive valid answer may score better. The best approach is to retrieve a well-grounded answer that the average player may overlook, then ensure it fits the question literally.

What Happens When an Answer Is Missing?

The original FAQ says its curated answer set can miss fair responses. Our checker can also lack records. A missing local match is therefore a reason to review the prompt and source, not proof that the idea is factually wrong.

Can You Play Krillion More Than Once?

The Daily Dive is presented as a daily challenge. The original site also offers Unlimited and themed packs for additional play. Our archive is for reviewing captured dives and does not host the game.

Beginner Strategy

  1. Read the prompt boundary carefully.
  2. Recall one answer you are confident fits.
  3. If time permits, replace the first instinct with a less obvious answer you can still defend.
  4. After playing, review the recorded answer set and see which kinds of picks scored differently.

FAQ

Are the rarest-sounding answers always best?

No. The original FAQ notes that the designated top answer is chosen for more than rarity alone.

Can this site validate an answer live?

No. The checker compares your text with our captured records, not the original game's live validator.

Practice with a captured Daily Dive

Name a branded fast-food menu item (like the Big Mac). · 2026-10-23 · 2,351 recorded choices.

This example is generated from a verified Daily Dive capture. It shows why the question boundary and capture date matter more than how obscure a response sounds.

Reveal one captured example per available tier

Compare a familiar answer with a higher-value recorded response. Explain why each fits the exact request before trying to remember it. The tier is a property of this captured prompt-answer pair; it does not travel with the word to unrelated questions.

A practical round-by-round routine

Before answering, separate the requested thing from its qualifiers. A chain is not an individual independent store; a person is not a team; a word satisfying a letter constraint is not simply a related idea. Keep the exact prompt in mind while recalling candidates. Our dated question pages preserve that wording so you can study the boundary after the game.

Build one dependable candidate first. If another response comes to mind, compare its fit rather than switching purely because it sounds unusual. The short round rewards recall you can justify, so a confidently valid familiar answer is a useful fallback when an obscure candidate is uncertain. This is a study recommendation, not an additional scoring rule.

Review a missed response without changing the record

  1. Find the capture date in Archive and open the exact prompt.
  2. Check your spelling with the date-specific checker. Capitalization, whitespace and supported punctuation variants are normalized.
  3. If there is a match, read its recorded tier and any source explanation. Do not reuse that score for a different prompt.
  4. If there is no match, consider whether the idea fits literally, then report supporting evidence through Contact. Absence alone cannot settle validity.

Use hints before answers

Our first clue gives the word count and captured tier of one high-value response. The second adds its first character and text length; the third supplies a masked spelling pattern. These clues are generated from recorded answers and may be easier or harder depending on your knowledge. Open them in order, stop when you can form a candidate, and save the full answer browser for after playing.

Choose Hide all answers to keep full lists collapsed across this device. Rare picks when opened restricts the browser to recorded responses worth at least 60 points. All answers when opened includes all tiers. Lists load only after you open them. These display choices affect this companion and do not change the original game.

Turn one Dive into a short study session

Review one question you missed, compare two recorded tiers, and write down the factual boundary you overlooked. Next, recall a different answer within that same boundary without looking at the list. Check it against the capture, then move on. Memorizing a long list without its question context makes it easier to mix up dates, spellings and scores.

Use the score calculator to compare tier combinations after the review. Its numbers describe a hypothetical seven-round plan; they do not validate new answers. Play on the original site, and use this site for source-aware research between rounds.
